How Sponsorship Works
Sponsor mentions are clearly labeled and visually separated from editorial content. Lady Humboldt does not write sponsor copy, does not endorse sponsors, and maintains an absolute editorial wall. A reader should never wonder whether a recommendation was paid for.
Sponsors write their own copy (or we write it in a neutral, informative tone). Sponsor sections are always labeled: "From Our Presenting Sponsor" or "Community Sponsors."

Sponsors do not receive subscriber email addresses, personal data, or access to editorial content before publication.
Local Businesses Welcome
Lady Humboldt sponsors local businesses that serve the Humboldt County community: restaurants, breweries, outdoor recreation, retail shops, professional services, tourism, farms, arts organizations, and nonprofits.
National chains, political organizations, and cannabis brands are not accepted. Full restrictions are available upon inquiry.
