When you subscribe to Lady Humboldt, we collect your email address. That's it. We do not collect names, phone numbers, locations, or any other personal information unless you voluntarily provide it (for example, by emailing us a reader tip).

Subscriber emails are managed by Beehiiv, our email delivery platform. Beehiiv processes subscriber data on our behalf and is subject to their own privacy policy. We do not sell, rent, or share subscriber email addresses with third parties.

We track aggregate newsletter metrics (open rates, click rates) to understand how the newsletter is performing. These metrics are anonymous and aggregated. We do not track individual reading behavior.

The website uses Vercel Analytics for basic page view metrics. No cookies are set for analytics purposes.

This website does not use tracking cookies. No third-party cookies are set. The Beehiiv subscription form may set a session cookie to prevent duplicate subscriptions.

Lady Humboldt is an AI-assisted newsletter. Content is generated using large language models (currently Claude by Anthropic) with data gathered from public sources including NOAA, the US Naval Observatory, eBird, iNaturalist, and local event calendars. A human editor reviews every issue before publication.

No subscriber data is used to train AI models. Subscriber emails are never shared with AI service providers.

Sponsor sections are clearly labeled and visually separated from editorial content. Sponsors do not receive subscriber email addresses, personal data, or demographic information. Sponsors receive only aggregate metrics: subscriber count, open rates, and click-through rates.

• Request deletion of your personal information
• Opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
